IS LEADERSHIP A SKILL OR TALENT?
In other words, are leaders born? The obvious answer is YES. Every leader was born. How else would they come to life?
However, when someone asks this question, usually they want to know if leadership is talent or skill.
If something is important but innate, it’s talent.
If something can be learned, it’s a skill.
It’s true that there are people with natural leadership quality. It’s also true that leadership is a learnable skill.
Realizing that leadership is a skill opens doors of possibilities. Of all skills, leadership is definitely one that you should learn. It will not only help you become a more effective person, but also enable you to add value to others.
